High School and Urban Park Vernier
Geneva, Switzerland
Vernier, to the north of Geneva, is characterised by low-density development. The city’s growth strategy envisages the transformation of this area through the creation of an intermodal transport hub and the construction of new residential buildings.
The urban study focuses on the centre of Vernier, proposing a residential building and a secondary school integrated into a new urban park. The park extends the network of gardens and green spaces connecting the centre of Geneva to its outskirts.
The new buildings form the first stage in Vernier’s transformation. They anticipate the planned urban structure while preserving the scale and functional relationships of the existing neighbourhood.
