Machado Costa Arquitectos

We believe architecture has a direct impact on quality of life and on the long-term value of the built environment.

Our work is guided by a commitment to creating enduring, high-quality architecture that responds to contemporary needs with clarity, rigour and technical understanding. We approach each project as an integrated process, bringing together design, feasibility, planning, construction and long-term performance from the outset.

Machado Costa Arquitectos is an experienced practice with direct senior involvement. Our studio combines architectural knowledge and broad professional experience with close contact with clients, ensuring continuity throughout every stage of a project.

Working across housing, hospitality, public and institutional buildings, we operate at different scales — from urban planning and landscape to architecture, renovation and interiors. This breadth of knowledge gives us the capacity to address complex briefs, coordinate different disciplines and respond effectively to the architectural, technical, functional and economic requirements of each commission.

Our work combines architectural ambition with rigour, responsibility and efficiency. We seek to make thoughtful use of the resources entrusted to us and to create architecture that is robust, adaptable and capable of remaining relevant over time.
