Lusiadas Collective Housing

Algés, Oeiras

Lusíadas Square results from the opening of two new streets within the urban fabric of Linda-a-Velha, connecting previously separated areas and creating a new centre for the town.

The intervention establishes a public square and new urban fronts, bringing together housing, retail, services and public facilities. It includes a garden, a children’s playground, the Parish Council offices and a residential tower with 48 apartments.

The reorganisation of pedestrian and vehicular routes strengthens connections with the surrounding public spaces.

Below ground, a car park provides 540 spaces.
