The University Residences are conceived as an urban intervention that acts as a catalyst for the creation of a new neighbourhood. The project seeks to overcome the fragmented character of the university campus by establishing a network of public spaces—streets, squares, and urban blocks—that reconnect the site with the surrounding city fabric.

The proposal establishes a dialogue with the university buildings constructed during the 1950s, reinterpreting their architectural language and spatial principles through a contemporary approach.

The programme, comprising student accommodation, commercial spaces and parking facilities, is organized through a hierarchical system adapted to the site’s natural topography. The different levels of the terrain are used to structure the complex, assigning distinct functions while reinforcing the relationship between public spaces and the city.
